So Kheren Amenca?! Forever Holiday?!




What can a parent do if she gets an unexpected letter claiming that her children can no longer live in the land that they believed to be their home? What can she do if there is no way to protect them from being expelled? The children have to leave and that is when their endless holiday starts, visiting distant relatives whose world is completely alien for the young adults. Read the play to learn what kind of challenges they have to face and how they overcome the difficulties!

So Kheren Amenca?! / Forever Holiday?!, the co-production of Gorki Studio from Berlin and Romano Svato Company from Vienna is based on the real life story of the Yugoslavian sisters who were born in Germany but got recently expelled from there. The show is performed by youngsters and professional actors.

This story shows, though, how expectations full of love and intentional parenting make heroes out of our parents. I did a lot of mischief, and I was also lazy and self-righteous. Music was always important in my family. My dad is still the organist in our local church.
